Additional Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, No. 14) Information

Personal vendettas, hidden treasure, and a monkey named Carl will send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most explosive adventure yet.

The Crime:  Armed robbery to the tune of nine million dollars

Dom Rizzi robbed a bank, stashed the money, and did the time. His family couldn’t be more proud. He always was the smart one.

The Cousin:  Joe Morelli

Joe Morelli, Dom Rizzi, and Dom’s sister, Loretta, are cousins. Morelli is a cop, Rizzi robs banks, and Loretta is a single mother waiting tables at the firehouse. The all-American family.

The Complications:  Murder, kidnapping, destruction of personal property, and acid reflux

Less than a week after Dom’s release from prison, Joe Morelli has shadowy figures breaking into his house and dying in his basement. He’s getting threatening messages, Loretta is kidnapped, and Dom is missing.

The Catastrophe:  Moonman

Morelli hires Walter “Mooner” Dunphy, stoner and “inventor” turned crime fighter, to protect his house. Morelli can’t afford a lot on a cop’s salary, and Mooner will work for potatoes.

The Cupcake:  Stephanie Plum

Stephanie and Morelli have a long-standing relationship that involves sex, affection, and driving each other nuts. She’s a bond enforcement agent with more luck than talent, and she’s involved in this bank-robbery-gone-bad disaster from day one.

The Crisis:  A favor for Ranger

Security expert Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, has a job for Stephanie that will involve night work. Morelli has his own ideas regarding Stephanie’s evening activities.

The Conclusion:  Only the fearless should read Fourteen.

Thrills, chills, and incontinence may result.

What Customers Say About Fearless Fourteen (Stephanie Plum, No. 14):

I have been an Evanovich fan from the beginning of the Plum series - but enough is ENOUGH. Save yourself. And Janet - let Stephanie go in peace. and so has Evonovich.

Stephanie has gone from fun and naive to down right pathetic. Evanovich is clearly on autopilot - looking to cash in on what was once a fun, original and entertaining series. This latest book manages to make a Caricature of a Caricature of a bounty hunter.

Honestly it feels like this book was written by a computer spitting out a Plum novel based on information from the first 14 novels - no heart - no plot - and sitcom ending wrapped up in a paragraph that is so lame that the antagonists might as well be Batman villains. There is nothing worse when a series goes bad. How many times can she be "foiled" by on of her "skips" asking to "go to the bathroom" or "put on the some clothes" only to jump out a window. What's next - Stephanie will loose someone who distracts her by saying - "Look - your shoe's untied." All of the characters seemed to have lost their purpose.

Save your money - you are missing NOTHING if you skip this book.I, in the other hand, am missing the hours it took to read the book - hours I will never get back. what you've done to her is a tragedy.

Wish Ms. Always a pleasure, and I'm always anxoiusly awaiting the next book.

You gotta love her, she's gutsy and klutzy. Classic Stephanie Plum.

I have to wonder, does she giggle while writing these as much as I do reading them. So many of us can relate.

It's another great tale from the pen of Janet Evanovich. As I have already devoured Finger-Lickin'15, I can't wait for 16.

Evanovich could wwrite faster.

Another typical installment of Stepahnie Plum -- car damage, Bob pooping, crazies following her around, Grandma getting into trouble. It's hard to believe these last few books are from the same series as the great books that started it all out.And where was Ranger. The fact that Stephanie still hasn't made a decision between the two has gone on way too long, but I never expected either of them to practically be written out of the series.

I was surprised by the negative reviews since I felt the book was pretty much on par with the other Stephanie Plum books. I held off on purchasing the Kindle version due to what I felt was an outrageous initial price and poor reader reviews. Once the Kindle price dropped I went ahead and purchased the book. I had some laugh out loud moments and enjoyed the book. It wasn't my favorite of the series; however, it was still entertaining, which is what I expect from the author.

I have not received this book, I checked to see when it would come but is now long past due. Everything else I ordered has come in a timely fashion. I would not use this vendor again.maryann douglass
